Empowering students is not about constantly motivating, encouraging, or praising them. It is about designing learning experiences that help students become increasingly capable of learning without depending on their teachers.
Empowerment needs to be visible in two places: what teachers do during lessons/ how they design learning activities, and how they help students develop their own learning systems.
By the end of the workshop, you will explore how to:
Design classroom activities that promote independent thinking, meaningful decision-making, self-assessment, and student ownership.
Develop structured independent-learning routines that help students set goals, practise effectively, monitor their progress, and adjust their learning strategies.
Apply practical strategies to re-empower students who have become disengaged, discouraged, or overly dependent on teacher support.
Join us this December and discover how to help your students take charge of their own learning!
